🇬🇧 About TMD Championship
TMD Championship is an official international dance competition system governed by the TMD World Dance Federation (TWDF).
The federation serves as the highest authority of the TMD competition structure, setting official rules, qualification systems, and championship titles at national, European, and world levels.
TMD Championship connects hundreds of dancers across Europe through a unified, transparent, and qualification-based competition system.
Our Story
The roots of TMD go back to 2012, when TMD Cup was founded in Pardubice, Czech Republic as a small local dance event.
Since 2017, the competition has been based in Hradec Králové, where it steadily grew in scale and reputation.
In 2025, the project evolved into a qualification-based competition under the name TMD Championship, expanding internationally for the first time to Slovakia.
In 2026, TMD Championship became a fully international competition system, with qualification rounds held in:
Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany.
That same year, under the authority of TMD World Dance Federation, TMD Championship will host the European Championship 2026 in Brno, Czech Republic.

🇨🇿 O soutěži TMD Championship
TMD Championship je oficiální mezinárodní taneční soutěžní systém, který spadá pod TMD World Dance Federation (TWDF).
Federace TWDF je nejvyšší autoritou celého systému TMD – stanovuje soutěžní a technická pravidla, kvalifikační strukturu i oficiální mistrovské tituly na národní, evropské a světové úrovni.
TMD Championship propojuje stovky tanečníků napříč Evropou prostřednictvím jednotného, transparentního a postupového soutěžního systému.
Historie soutěže
Kořeny soutěže sahají do roku 2012, kdy vznikla TMD CUP v Pardubicích jako menší lokální taneční akce.
Od roku 2017 se soutěž koná v Hradci Králové, kde postupně rostla a získávala své jméno i prestiž.
V roce 2025 se projekt transformoval do postupové soutěže pod názvem TMD Championship a poprvé se rozšířil také na Slovensko.
V roce 2026 se TMD Championship stal plně mezinárodním soutěžním systémem s kvalifikačními koly v:
České republice, na Slovensku, Maďarsku a Německu.
Právě v roce 2026 bude pod hlavičkou TMD World Dance Federation uspořádáno Mistrovství Evropy v Brně.

Tomáš FILIP
Founder of TMD Championship and President of TMD World Dance Federation.
He has been active in the dance world since childhood and has spent decades working as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and organizer.
He believes that a dance competition should be more than just scores – it should be a meaningful experience, a challenge, and a source of inspiration for dancers at every level.
